Your information
Privacy
This page explains what happens when you contact GrayArea or join its email updates.
Who is responsible
Martin Gray, operating GrayArea and GrayArea Dev in Sweden, is responsible for the personal information described here. For privacy questions or requests, email info@grayarea.digital.
Contact inquiries
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message. We use them to respond and, if relevant, discuss a project you asked about. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering inquiries, or taking steps you request before a possible agreement. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.
A copy reaches the GrayArea info mailbox with Namecheap Private Email, and the inquiry is also saved in the website’s Lovable Cloud database. Ordinary inquiries are deleted from both places within 12 months of the last exchange. If an inquiry becomes client work or a legal obligation applies, relevant records may need to be kept longer; we review those separately.
Email updates
If you choose to subscribe, we save your email address and signup time in the Lovable Cloud database so we can send occasional GrayArea updates. The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@grayarea.digital; we will remove your address from the list. Any future update email will also include an unsubscribe option. If we do not begin sending updates within 12 months, we will delete the unused signup list.
Service providers and transfers
Lovable Cloud hosts the website database, and Namecheap Private Email handles contact mail. They process information to provide those services. Namecheap’s Private Email service uses US hosting. Some processing may therefore take place outside the European Economic Area; applicable contractual transfer safeguards are used. We do not sell inquiry or subscriber details.
Using the website
The website host may process technical request information, such as an IP address, to deliver the site and keep it secure. This is based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website; such logs are kept under the host’s operational retention settings. We do not use contact or newsletter details for automated decisions. You can browse without using either form; an email address is needed only if you want a reply or email updates.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your information, and may have rights to restrict or object to processing or receive a portable copy, depending on the circumstances. Contact us at the address above. You may also complain to Sweden’s data protection authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
